AUSTIN PETREE

Austin is an Abilene native and has stayed in the Big Country his entire life. After graduating from Wylie High School, he attended Abilene Christian University where he would graduate with Accounting and Financial Management degrees in 2024. Austin has hunted his entire life and began guiding early in his high school career. Austin’s passion for guiding began while hunting big game in South Africa and he attributes much of the success at Western Wing to establishing life-long relationships and promoting excellent customer service.

COOPER COTHRAN

Guide/ Partner

Growing up an Abilene native, Cooper has a vast knowledge of the Big Country where he has hunted his entire life. After graduating from Wylie High School in 2021, Cooper pursued his baseball dreams by attending Ranger College for two years, which led him back to Abilene to McMurry University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business management. Cooper’s hunting background began early in life following his father hunting deer, duck, and dove since he was 4 years old. Cooper has a deep passion for hunting that leads to his dedication and commitment to Western Wing Outfitters.

LANDON BAILEY

Guide

Landon was born & raised in Abilene and has lived here his entire life. After graduating from Wylie High School in 2021, he pursued a career as a first responder, where he currently serves as a fire fighter in Big Spring and EMT in Abilene. Landon has had a love for hunting since his childhood and began guiding out of high school in 2021. He immediately fell in love with the art of guiding, and he has been with Western Wing Outfitters ever since. Landon owns a black lab named Bruno, who is a great addition to the team.

BENTLEY DUNAGIN

Guide

Bentley was born and raised in Abilene and is currently an Industrial Manufacturing & Emerging Technologies student at South Plains College. Hunting has always been Bentley’s #1 passion since his childhood and he began waterfowl hunting in 2017, where soon after, it became an addiction! Bentley joined the outfit in 2022 and has been guiding for the company ever since. He owns a Red Fox Labrador named Gunner who is also a great addition to the team at Western Wing.

BLAKE PROCTOR

Guide

Blake was born & raised in Abilene, TX, where he graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2022 and is now a Firefighter/Paramedic for Abilene Fire Department. Blake has a wife, Claire, and a new little boy, Beau, at home. He has hunted his whole life in the Big Country and began waterfowl hunting in 2019. He has a passion for guiding new hunters and learning from more experienced customers. Blake has been with Western Wing since 2023.

LANDON YATES

Guide

Landon, our newest addition to the team, was born & raised in Clyde, TX and has an immense knowledge of fowl hunting across the state. Landon was fortunate enough to grow up around hunting and began pursuing waterfowl back in 2018. He is currently studying Industrial Manufacturing & Emerging Technologies at South Plains College in Lubbock, TX.
